Move-in support and supplies
*Under the pandemic, all 15 shelters follow strict physical distance rules and count with a well-ventilation open layout. People who have clear COVID-19 symptoms or received a positive test are not allowed to enter, and will be asked to return with a negative result. Testing can be completed at a local pharmacy, designated testing site or one of our partner testing centers.
Food Pantries and Food Banks
Communicaid runs 7 food pantries and banks in total in the Baltimore area to provide the homeless or low-income individuals basic food and nutrition needs with dignity.
"Food Bank United" has been formed by volunteers as an affiliate of CommunicAID.
An innovative fully almuni-operating food pantry will open in a few months. CommunicAID partners with Giant Food of Maryland, offering non-perishable foods, fresh produce and kitchen tools.
Job Seeking and Training
CommunicAID hires and invites career advisors and specialists to give speeches and trainings about career path, job finding, interview mock, etc. We offer an intensive career reintegration program that ensures participants are able to find a stable job, reliable housing and ultimately break the cycle of poverty.
